Kinda of a weird way to look at how dominant we were under Saban, as well as how much pressure he was constantly under to excel.
We played (I think) 8 games from 2008-2023 that didn’t have national title implications.
4 of those were in 2010, and 2010 was the only year that any of them were regular season games.
Crazy perspective, we haven’t had a meaningless regular season game since 2010.

I would argue that the 2017 Iron Bowl was somewhat meaningless.

Could actually go both ways lol
If we beat Auburn, we lose to Georgia in the SEC championship game. Saban wouldn’t have come to the conclusion to get Tua in the game without that disastrous Iron Bowl and 1st half NCG. I think he rides Hurts to a loss against Georgia.

I count nine and am coming up with different ones than you.
2010 Mississippi State
2010 Georgia State
2010 Michigan State
2013 Oklahoma
2019 Michigan
2022 Ole Miss
2022 Austin Peay
2022 Auburn
2022 Kansas State

The last four you listed weren’t necessarily meaningless. Had TCU taken another loss in any of those weeks before they lost to KSU in the B12CG, Bama would’ve been in the playoffs.

By that metric the 2010 games had title implications as well because 2007 type chaos could have ensued and Bama could have wound up in the title with two losses.

We were a last second TCU field goal against Baylor from making the playoff last year.
