LSU hasn't had elite defensive line play since 2012.
If Bo Davis can bring us back there, he's worth it.

You are correct. However, LSU's defensive situation was desperate. Desperate times call for desperate measures.
I find it funny that this is being sold as pure genius, yet all the LSU fans were relentless about Jimbo being overpaid. Davis just took them to the cleaners
