I didn't have it all the way figured out. I knew it was a distantly familiar song lyric but didn't have it all in my head, but I was starting to explore the possibility of phonetics over letters so it was a matter of time. You should have let this one continue, get 3 more wrong letter guesses, instead of just giving up like that.
