Let them dream. They melted like a motherfricker over hiring Elko for a day until Billy Liucci sent out their marching orders on TexAgs and the entire fan base fell in line within a week and threw the delusion into overdrive.

Jimbo was a national championship coach coming in but they’re all MUCH more impressed with Elko’s Duke resume and just feel better about him. Why? I have no idea, and I don’t think any of them do either. It’s just what they do, they’re the most predictable fanbase in sports. They were still acting like Jimbo was going to win multiple national championships this offseason and they won’t accept that Elko is failing until he’s actually fired in 3 years
