I'm not following you.

Jalen never got better as a starter. He road the bench his last year and flashed in the 4th quarter of the SEC championship game.

How does that prove what I'm saying is wrong.

As for going and getting a QB coach. DO IT. RIGHT NOW.

As a starter he in 2016 and 2017 we had legendary defenses. He was asked to not lose the game. He was 17 years old when he enrolled at Alabama and had leadership qualities, but was a developmental project. He was never meant to start as a true freshman.

He was meant to redshirt and learn how to play actual QB.

Instead we ran a simplified offense with him and he would run or throw the ball away if his initial read was not open.

Once he got a chance to sit and had a dedicated QB coach he developed.

It's not hard. He played with a limited playbook and was told to take no chances because our defense was legendary, and to run or throw it away if you don't see it.

Jalen Hurts absolutely improved. His real problem is that for some reason in 2017, he couldn't play well on the road. His second problem is that arguably the best quarterback in Alabama history was riding the bench and everyone knew it. Just about any other year, he doesn't get benched.
