Watch the interview he did with Pat McAfee. He says everything right there, when and what happened. When you go back and watch the film he's right.
The Michigan players didn't do anything wrong, and that's not what Saban said. They were hitting their pads to get the attention of their teammates since clapping is illegal. It caused the center to snap the ball a time or two when Milroe wasn't ready. One in particular was when the ball got by Milroe for a large loss and he had to fall on it.

Since I don’t have any pat macafees links lined up on my phone and I wanted to hear his reason right after the game since it was all fresh in his mind…..could you link that interview?

The Bottom line is.....no excuse. We have had issues that other teams have not had all season. Bama had a month to either work and correct these issues or get someone else ready.
