Our backs have been generally productive during his tenure unless you just want to obsess over the 1k artificial barometer of success.

We loved that barometer of success when that achievement was automatic. I am just saying. "Productive" to you means DJ Williams or Boobee Whitlow. No sir. Mediocre.

If you are telling me our backs were effective against Cal, A&M, LSU, Maryland, and Samford I dont know what to tell you. Hunter had 7 games with 59 or less rushing yards.

Game planning and OL play have nothing to do with that.

ETA against Maryland, JH ran 13 times. Alston ran it 9 times.

Our backs actually were productive in a couple of those games though they admittedly weren't productive in every single game this year. Nor have they been productive for every single game for a season since 2013.

My point is more that it's weird that one our more productive position groups is suddenly a target in this thread than anything else.

And I'm not sure who else would hire Caddy. We got him early. I guess we will find out if he has a successful coaching career after this but this question just can't be answered yet. What I do know is the RB group ain't the problem and it ain't been the problem since 2019 or whenever he was hired.
