Bowl Games. Now that NIL is legal why don't the TV Networks pay players to play?

It would be pennies on the dollar investment wise for the networks, and increase viewership.
Pay starting players 50k/100k each to play in the game.
Pay the winning teams starters another 50k/100k each if they win (to assure that they actually play and try to win).
Pay the backups 5k/10k.
I would think that the added viewership & additional advertising revenue would more than cover the costs.
Or at least run the numbers to pay the players as much as you can to incentivize them to play and still turn profit.
Otherwise with 12 team playoff the other Bowl Games will be totally unwatchable.

Do you want them to play or not ?
Personally, with a 12 team playoff they can get rid of all of the other Bowl Games as far as I am concerned.

So you watch them all year long while they are getting paid to play.
But you're offended and horrified if they get paid to play in the Bowl Game ?
