And many either forget or never knew or simply ignored the fact that Ty only had 7 1 vs 1 plays in the A-Day game, Milroe the other 21. JM also had 4 of his 5 incompletions dropped and had one throw-away. I.e., he COULD have been 8 for 8.

Hopefully, JM will make significant progress in his areas of need and Ty will succeed him for 2 great years. Otherwise, CKD will make any necessary changes.

It's not simply the criticism it's the nature of it - it is different than any I've seen in decades of observing Alabama football.

A few things:

1. Tua wasn’t better when he stepped on campus. I love Tua but I went to those early practices and he was all over the place. Like a deer learning to walk. He had all the talent and you could see it. But he had to be refined and he was over the course of the entire season and Bam we won.

2. I don’t think enough emphasis has been put on how average our OL was when we started the season last year. Besides the center we had real issues. Any good QB typically has a good OL. It’s just the truth of the matter. Regardless of if it’s Milroe or Ty.
