I guess it shows how good of a coach Saban was to take OTJ training QB’s and win championships with them.
Just think… he took an athlete made him the starting QB and beat the best team in the country in the SECCG. And after that just came up a little short in the playoffs having a chance to play for a NC with an athlete as the starting QB. Pretty impressive

Would have been more impressive if he'd had another non-project QB ready to go.
