If they do it right and integrate the bowl games with the 12 team playoff games, then I can see some of the lesser bowl games having more attendance and viewership.
Think about it: with 12 teams, that's a lot of playoff games even if the top 4 get a bye in the first round.

It makes every game for the G5 matter. Their top ranked conference champion will go to the playoffs.
Bowl games suddenly really matter because of team/conference perception. You’re playing for a possible playoff berth next season.
