Yea ED O and Chizik had one great year each and were bad to average every other year they were head coaches. Dabo been to the NC 4 different years. The comparison makes no sense.

It's not meant to make sense. It's meant to illustrate how stupid the mindset of focusing on championship pedigree and nothing else is when evaluating potential coaching hires. We literally just saw, in our own division, what can happen when you hire a guy who won a championship elsewhere 5 years ago and slowly watched the program slide until someone else tossed him a life preserver. That's why recency bias kind of matters. The game changes. Most coaches don't change with it, which is why what Saban has done is totally unprecedented and will never be replicated.
