Playing in a horrible conference so they can pad their football stats.

It’s what texas did with the SWC and big12. Instead of going to a stronger conference they chose to be the biggest fish in a small pond. Not picking on texas but that’s what they did.

It’s the best opportunity for a no loss season and a shot at a title, though it rarely worked out.

fsu had their shot at getting in and should be made to live with it. texas is taking the step so hats off to them.

FSU played for the natty in '93, '98, '99, and 2000. Didn't work out??

FSU and the ACC were an absolute joke in football before Bowden and the ACC. It was easy to hate FSU in the 90s unless you were a fan. Imagine Wyoming becoming so powerful and popular that they played for natties and lifted the Mountain West conference to the status of a power 5 conference in football. That's what FSU did in the late 80s and 90s.
