Admittedly I have done that too. One of the best was reading the Michigan ST. boards before the 2015-16 Cotton Bowl (which some were cautious because the 2010 Capital One Bowl) and of course the ND board before the 2012 championship. Needless the say the Domers were much more quiet before the 2020 Cotton Bowl.

Same. And I've loved reading Oklahoma, tOSU and Clemson's boards in the past. Just to get a feel for what they are thinking.

Keep your friends close, your enemies closer.

The only time this alerted me was the 2014 season, capped with the Jan 1st 2015 Sugar bowl. Cardale Jones looked READLY good leading up to that game. You'll recall, tOSU had lost their first and second string QB's that season [much like FSU recently did]. But tOSU kept rolling. I expected better from Bama but between Jones and Ezekiel Elliot, Bama didn't get the job done. There was little moral victory in knowing that Bama fought them harder than Oregon in that championship days later.

Yet OSU and other fans will act like Bama lost by the same amount of points

Unless it’s in OT or final second, every time Bama loses a game (like the UT game this year) people will act like Bama lost by 3-4x as many points as they actually did

I was at the game, and it was a very strange day. If I recall, there were several SEC-BIG bowl games that played on the same day. And the BIG won every one.

When we went up 21-6, Ohio st fans cheered even louder, and maybe it’s because they cheered so loud that Kiffin forgot to keep running Henry in the 2nd half.

Buckeye WRs made every single circus catch. One-handed, leaping catches. And then the Ezekiel Elliot run. Just a weird day.
