DJ James doesn't need the Senior Bowl. Like I said he is already predicted to be a top three round pick. He also has film against the SEC. He doesn't need the week long dog and pony show to show what he has.

Dog and pony show? The Senior Bowl is a week of one-on-one practices in front of all the scouts and GM's. It's literal one-on-one reps against some of the better WR's in the country.

The game itself means nothing, but the actual week of practice is incredibly important. A guy who is "projected top three rounds" can easily move up a round with a strong week of practice.

The Bowl game by comparison changes nothing; he already has two full seasons worth of game tape in the SEC. Playing against Maryland isn't going to change anything for him.

He has plenty of that film in the SEC.

Derick Hall was once labeled a winner in the senior bowl and he didnt move up any. He was once considered a first round pick even.
