I'm guessing the two bye weeks for everyone has something to do with the expanded playoffs?

it happens once every like 5 years or so due to an early labor day and a late Thanksgiving. Greg McElroy talked about it during the schedule reveal show today

I was just wondering what was up with the two open dates. That makes sense.
