Maybe something else they could've done is not play the weakest schedule of anyone in contention, or have looked absolutely abysmal last weekend when everyone was watching?

Could’ve joined the SEC 30 years ago rather than taking the easier path to a NC.
They made their bed and reaped the benefits of that decision 25 and 10 years ago. Don’t really feel sorry for them now.

They could have prevented Alabama from beating the #1 team in the nation.
Why didn't FSU prevent that? It might have helped them.
