This is absurd even for an Aggy. Texas (and OU for that matter) has been absolutely fricked by Big 12 officials for years so not sure our wealth or the fact that our program (along with OU) financially supported every other school in the conference has made much of a difference for us on that front. Take a look at the number of times Big 12 opponents were called for holding against the best DL in college football with 2 AA DTs and get back to me on our supposed advantage with the refs.

W/r/t our fanbase - every school has a-hole fans but by and large I’d consider ours to be pretty damn friendly. The most legitimate criticism (though this is getting better) is that a lot of our fans are arrogant and/or fair weather. A lot of hardcore UT fans like myself are neither. I will openly admit that Texas is, historically, an underachieving program given our potential, but a lot of that has to do with a-hole boosters and poor hiring decisions. With Sark, Del Conte, and the aging out of the worst of our booster population this is quickly becoming a thing of the past.

I have said this to all of my SEC friends and multiple fellow LSU Dads (most of whom thought I was nuts), but Texas will be extremely competitive year in and year out in the SEC from Day 1. Hook’em and Geaux Tigers!

I have a lot of friends that graduated from Texas. Notice that I don't call them tu, because it is stupid. I have no beef with the actual grads. However, most of the fans I know couldn't even spell T-E-X-A-S. They are truly that stupid.
