True. I was floored by how expensive Austin has gotten, and how terrible the homeless problem truly is. I grew up in Austin, and it isn't close to the same town.

It has changed drastically since I been here alone, so I can see that being frustrating growing up here. I miss when East Austin was cool.

Austin was always the most liberal city in Texas, and I was ok with that. The problems started arising when far too many left coasters started moving in and bringing their far left (non classical liberal) politics with them and taking things way too far. It's still a great city, (food and music scene is second to none) just not the same vibe it had 25 years ago.
