Right. And Freeze came in following a 2-10 season while Kiffen came in a 4-8 season… both inherited a mess, but there is a huge difference in. 2-win team and a 4-win team as it means the 2-win team was losing to directional schools OOC.

Freeze also faced a MUCH more difficult schedule in his first four seasons, facing 22 FINAL AP Top 25 opponents compared to Lane only having to face 15 (that’s going ahead and counting PSU and assuming Tulane wins their bowl and finishing ranked).

Freeze faced nearly two extra Top 25 opponents every single year. HUGE difference yet their overall record through the first four seasons is nearly identical.
