I think you have to be higher than that to lock in. The top 4 seeds will be the conference champions with the best records (so ACC, BIG, Big XII, SEC). You would assume they would all be in the top 10. Then the highest ranking G5 champ gets in, even if they aren't in the top 12. Not sure what happens with the PAC2. If they still get an auto bid Wash St/Oregon St could be out of the top 12. Which would mean you have to be top 10 to assure an at large bid
