Imma Dawg and the Dawgs 27yr streak is awesome, but the Bama 25yr streak from the 50's, 60's and early 70's is more impressive...

Any team with a pulse that can finish 6-6 and even 5-7 some years gets a bowl...

Not diminishing the Dawgs streak but they're kinda apples-oranges. Two different eras and less Bowls in the day...

Kind of wish they had a "classic era" vs "modern era" records list.

How the QB passer rating record was broken in 1980 by Jim McMahon with a 176.9 and lasted for 15 years.

Now the top 10 best QB rating seasons have occurred in the past 11 years. McMahon's record season is 44th.

Passer Rating - Single Season

Or how the record of "most games scoring a TD in a season" sits at 15 by Bryce Young and Derrick Henry, but you could not have HAD 15 games to score a TD until 2014 (barring a few exception).

Of course there'd be a lot of eras (the pre-bowl expansion era, the pre-BCS era, the pre-playoff era, etc.) - but it still feels like we lose a lot of context for records like these.
