It’s actually a fly fishing reference, but you likely need treble hooks and blood baited crickets to catch bluegills, so there’s that.

Fished for years(bait casting not fly) and was not familiar with that term. Tried to look up rip n lip with no success. Had to quit fishing when I was 75. Hope you catch some good ones.
