Alabama did not make this decision. They are just benefiting. People are insufferable. Be angry at the committee.

Exactly. If Georgia had won, Texas would’ve been the 4 seed over FSU. If Oregon had beaten Washington, Oregon would have gotten in over FSU. FSU wasn’t getting in.
The reason people are pissed is because:
a. They are actually FSU fans and justified in their anger or
b. They hate Alabama and/or the SEC and hoped that the committee would put an obviously inferior team in the playoff to guarantee that Alabama and/or the SEC would not win the title.

The committee showed great integrity sticking to their mission statement and selection criteria. They could've gone with sports fashion and chosen an inferior team but instead, they stood up.
