Couple that with little-to-no development in the NFL before being thrown to the wolves (so many QBs starting in year 1), and on teams that have done little to support said QBs before starting them. It's like they think more and more that the QB position is a "quick fix" to an ailing team.

To your point though, those players get fewer and fewer years under a single coach due to transfer rules. Sometimes it works out well for them (like Jalen Hurts going to Oklahoma and getting more playing time than he would have behind Tua, and Joe Burrow transferring to LSU from Ohio State and getting a chance to play/learn under Steve Ensminger and Joe Brady), but I think it likely hurts more often than it helps.

Sadly folks will probably point to those two as "proof" that it works rather than potentially being exceptions to the rule.
