QB play in the NFL has been awful this year outside of maybe 10-12 guys.
Wonder how much that has to do with all the player movement and coaching changes in college football the past 10+ years. I feel like the constant shuffling of players and coaches in college really hinders their development at an age where they really need it. QBs are the most notorious for any position for transferring, and they need more development than any other position.

Couple that with little-to-no development in the NFL before being thrown to the wolves (so many QBs starting in year 1), and on teams that have done little to support said QBs before starting them. It's like they think more and more that the QB position is a "quick fix" to an ailing team.
To your point though, those players get fewer and fewer years under a single coach due to transfer rules. Sometimes it works out well for them (like Jalen Hurts going to Oklahoma and getting more playing time than he would have behind Tua, and Joe Burrow transferring to LSU from Ohio State and getting a chance to play/learn under Steve Ensminger and Joe Brady), but I think it likely hurts more often than it helps.
Sadly folks will probably point to those two as "proof" that it works rather than potentially being exceptions to the rule.

That's very interesting.
I believe we also thought transfers would lead to parity, but I don't think any of us thought that parity would be a step down from where we were previously.
It seems a lot of these guys in the portal are there for a reason, and very rarely do they statistically/significantly improve their new team. In other words, there aren't really any dominant teams that don't have flaws.
So to me these guys going all over the place have actually hurt the average product overall, and it may very well be related to what you're pointing out.
