Bama thought they had an o-line that could move anyone and one of these QBs would be able to make an offense pay if they put too many in the box to stop it.

And down the stretch one Proctor figured it out and Roberts was inserted we absolutely changed into a very good power rush team that was elite on short yardage when you knew we were gonna run. We were not very explosive (mainly because neither of our main, older backs are very explosive), which limited our YPA numbers.

Non-Sack Rushing
Tennessee : 39 carries, 167 yards (4.3 YPA)
LSU : 44 rushes, 300 yards (6.8)
Kentucky : 38 rushes, 156 yards (4.1)
Auburn : 42 rushes, 200 yards (4.8)
Georgia : 37 rushes, 154 yards (4.2)

I do think their Oline has improved, but I watched murderball up close and personal in the SECCG in 2012. This ain't it.

2012 was one of the greatest offensive lines in SEC history. Nobody in their right mind expected to get that sort of dominance (so like, half the fanbase ).

I will say this. Do it again, but take out unscripted rushing plays by Milroe. Only fair way to do it if you are gonna take his sack yardage away. Having the defense on their heels to defend the pass and calling what he did against the LSU defense murder ball is disingenuous. As I said, you know this.

If anything, what the coaching staff did is impressive because they changed from what they had been doing to something else. It didn't work and morphed it into something completely different based on taking a flawed player and using what he does best to make the offense effective. Of course, it's the D that really held this thing together.
