They were both conference champions. Bama's only loss is to the number 3 team. I think they got it right as unpopular as the pick was.
I know you're not supposed to take previous seasons into account but I'm sorry SEC has earned the respect they got this year.
... And before Aggie fans show up to tell me that FSU should have got in over Texas... I can see a valid argument for that as well.

BS.
FSU did everything they could.
It was time for the SEC to sit this out.
Let’s face it there are always at least 2 SEC teams that can beat anyone in the playoffs.
Can’t just go by that or just do away completely with conferences.
Just isn’t fair and college football received a black eye today with this Saban/ Bama bias.
Plain and simple.
