5 Washington
6 Fla St

Fla St couldn't beat a top team with their backup qb.
Washington I don't see them beating any of those teams as well on a neutral field.

I wouldn't be surprised if Bama is at 5, but they are definitely 1 of the best 4 teams in the country.

Win your games first. Bama didn’t and needed a miracle to beat Auburn. You lost. You’re out

If this is the case, then why even play the games? Just have Ohio State, Georgia, Alabama in it every year based off preseason rankings, recruiting rankings, reputation, ratings. Have the playoff in August/September between them every year.

UGA isn't one of the best. We were down this year.

college football fans: "the expanded playoffs will ruin college football. the reason CFB is better than the NFL is that every game matters!"

college football fans: "the game early in the year doesn't matter, we're a completely different team now!"

They won their conference last night with their defense.

Gumps want a participation trophy.

This is why the committee situation is so dumb to begin with… it’s a moving goalpost depending on the circumstances.

Best teams? Most deserving teams? Most success during the season? Undefeated vs. a week schedule? A loss vs. a relevant OOC opponent? The subjectivity from year to year is painfully absurd.

If you’re looking for the best teams, UGA is in the top 4, but they’re clearly out of the conversation today. UGA, or any of the other teams in the discussion, would wipe the stadium floor with FSU in it’s current state.

I think Washington is a decent team though. Best? Probably not, but I can’t lump them in with FSU based on what I’ve seen.

I understand where you’re coming from as an AU fan, but you do know that UG also lost, right? And that same UGA team that was unanimously #1 until yesterday also went to the wire in JH. Should that have counted against them also?

Bama thinks Miss Congeniality should win the contest.
