If you are in the P5 and don’t lose, you are in the playoff. If not, we look at best record. If same record, we look at H2H.
If you know who the “best” teams are, I’d like to see bet slips and a screenshot of your 8-10 figure bank account.
1. Michigan
2. Washington
3. FSU
4. Texas
Sorry Gumps

FSU is underestimated - they can beat anybody. Does anyone deny it

Agree completely...the elephants can't get PRISON POUNDED by Tex-arse at home and have the War Chickens go balls deep into their anus for 3.99 quarters and bitch about anything.
Time for reality here...if the elephants were in the Big Ten East Division, they would have battled with Penn St. for third place. Not being mean, just letting everyone know how powerful the B10 Conference is right now & how watered-down the sec is.
Michigan & Tex-arse will be an epic battle for the ages, too!

Michigan has performed so well in the playoffs, I'd be confident too

The Committee didn't even like UGA as #1 until OSU lost and has kept Bama at #8 the whole time. They haven't moved a one loss team ahead of an undefeated yet (in top teams). They have had FSU right with all the undefeateds the whole time. This is through 99% of the arguments Bama fans have tried to argue have happened.
All that has change since they last voted was Bama beat UGA and FSU beat Louisville. So all the rest has been considered by them and accounted for.
So they will have to think that Bama beating UGA was enough to throw them over FSU beating a top 15 team and finishing undefeated. They didn't think Michigan beating their favorite was worth but 1 spot. They would have to consider Bama winning worth 4 and enough to carry Texas beating Okie State up too.

What makes all that shite "logical"? This is supposed to be a nuanced and multi-faceted decision making process.
To assume your little list is logical is to also assume all schedules and conferences are equal and that the ACC is more than just a glorified group of five conference.
I don't assume any of that shite.
If the committee has the stones to stick to its actual mission statement, then no one in their right mind puts FSU over Alabama.

Sounds like you should rank teams based on recruiting score

The mission statement is clear.
The four best teams
Looking at every objective and subjective data point. Do you believe FSU is a better football team than the Alabama Crimson Tide?

FSUhas proven to beat every team. I don’t have any reason to think that wouldn’t be case against Bama, who fields a WR at the QB position

Yep, it took a 4th and 31 to beat an unranked Auburn two weeks ago. Bama is not the dominant team they've been in the past.
