Alabama would have a better collection of wins against a better overall schedule. And they'd have a conference championship whereas Georgia would not.

Why would alabama deserve to be in over Georgia if they won a close game?

We're literally comparing Georgia and Alabama...."tard"

Doesn't Texas have a game left? How about you make threads at a later date moron.
No shite. Based on Texas' performance over the last few years, they are the most likely to render all this chatter irrelevant.

You’re a dense one. A week 1 loss, even in a head-to-head matchup, can have minimal bearing on the final ranking. If TX and AL both win Saturday, Alabama’s resume will be much stronger, with more, and better, wins over currently ranked teams, and Texas will have a loss to a lower-ranked team.
If Alabama beats Georgia, they may jump Texas. If Alabama beats GA by two scores, they most likely will jump Texas, regardless of how bad Texas beats OSU.
