Watch TEXAS & BAMA get left out with one loss while being the only teams in consideration that have matched up out of conference.
PAC 12 and B10 ranked teams never left their region, outside of tOSU who has proven to be a championship caliber contender in recent years, but they lost to UM.. how do we know these conference leaders are legit? We certainly can't say that about Washington & Oregon.
Thankfully it expands to 12 teams in '24.

If we werent going to 12 next year then this season would be all the proof needed that SOS (as in scheduling tough OCC opponents) isn't in anyone's best interest, just have cupcake parties as often as possible. Having said that, going to 12 may have the same effect tbh...just cruise through a weak schedule undefeated and you're in.
