It was the Ponce Hotel right by the old Cactus Car Wash near corner of Glen Iris and Ponce. That place was a shithole. It has been torn down and replaced by a boutique hotel. That whole area is unrecognizable from when I moved there in 2004. We had nicknames for all the homeless and crack heads that used to roam around Ponce at all hours of the day and night. That area is Mayberry now to what it used to be. Nothing but condos/apartments/townhomes/ restaurants/retail etc.
