Queue the people who have never left the state of Alabama, except to go to Disney World that one time, who think that Atlanta is a shite hole and Atlanta is dangerous.

Here they come, saddled with their irrational fears and sweating over the idea of leaving whatever rural area they hail from and going anywhere near the mean streets of Atlanta, Georgia on the day of a HUGE event LOL. Bless their hearts...

Uh, Atlanta is a dangerous shithole. I wasn't aware there was even a debate about this.

You mean the people that play there more than anyone else? Those people?

This isn't even a remotely intelligent comment. If you actually had two brain cells to rub together, you'd know that the Braves have been the favored MLB team in Alabama since they came to Atlanta. Every MLB baseball fan in Alabama has probably been to Atlanta multiple times.

Hank Aaron was from Alabama. Tim Hudson played at Auburn. I'm gonna go waaaayyyyy out on a limb and say that you've probably heard of them.

Cue the moron who is wrong in both his statement and the use of the word queue.

I live in Peachtree City, bro and was born and raised in Georgia. Atlanta is a shithole and is extremely dangerous.

Data doesn't lie. Why are you so pressed about it? Even Atlantans will tell you it's bad. You can have state pride and still admit Atlanta is dangerous.

I served two tours in Afghanistan and would rather live there than ATL.

I am likely, at least, among the most traveled within the US and abroad for both leisure and work related travel. Atlanta is a shithole.

When I was young, there seemed a much more clear distinction between the slums and good areas. They are entirely intermixed now. It's not a great place. Every city has it's go and no-go zones, but all of the areas highlighted in the OP could benefit from a major big city approach of street corner cops to lock down the tourist areas.

I will say that my recent trips to ATL were outside of major sports seasons or big events, so maybe the police presence is different at times.
