Personally, I don't think Stoops can replicate his UK success at A&M. He actively avoids recruiting against SEC powers at UK, and relies on selling Ohio kids on playing in the SEC while staying close to home.
It's a unique situation, and Stoops has it figured out well. But A&M will be totally different. We have to go head to head against bascially every power program in the SEC West for every recruit within 500 miles of campus. Stoops built his success at UK on proactively avoiding the situation A&M lives in every day. To me it's a terrible fit, and it's much better for A&M, Stoops, and UK all three that he's staying in Lexington.

Yep. It's been a big reason why we have been decent under him and it was a reason we hired Stoops in the first place
We are very unlikely to out recruit Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Tennessee, etc for people, but we can beat IU, Purdue, MSU, etc. for people.
