I'd be fine with it. Either:
A) He comes in, succeeds, and fences are mended.
B) He comes in, fails, Sam is canned, and I don't have to hear Razorback fans clamoring for Petrino to come back ever again.

I don't believe he can be rehired unless the system president approved it.
