I think he is a solid 8-9 win average coach that folds like a cheap chair in high profile games.

What is a bust? No boob jokes, please.
But what do you consider a bust. If it's not winning a national title, there's no way to convince you. He hasn't yet and we don't know if he will.
Are you talking his career? Then only a small pct. of coaches are not busts. Many HOF coaches are busts based on your thought here.
Are you talking as a hire for LSU? Maybe. But again, if you told LSU in Jan. 2022 that they'd have a Heisman winner (probable), a West division championship and a 1-1 record vs. Bama in his first two years I'm pretty sure they'd still be all in.

One way to lose an argument is to argue with shitty stats that aren't true.
You might can make your argument, but if it's a good one you should be able to do it with facts.
Kelly coached with Notre Dame playing a lot of ACC football teams on the schedule from 2013 to 2021
He had six ten wins seasons during this time including the last five consecutively. He made the college football playoff twice and played USC on top of the ACC teams every year. He also played a top 5 Georgia team twice and had various games with Michigan.
