This is exactly my point. There’s always shady stuff going on, pretty much every where. Arkansas worries about off field stuff and misses good coaches. Remember when Norvell couldn’t be a candidate because he had skeletons in his closet?
Petrino was a known a-hole, got hired and performed on the field.

I know but both of them would put Arkansas on probation and eventually from the NCAA who had teeth, the death penalty.
Arkansas struggled when they joined SEC without being on probation. What would you think would happen to Arkansas if they were put on major probation?
It would like the Chad years.
The same fans who blamed Frank for not hiring them, would blame Frank for ruining the football program.
I have heard that about Norvell and I don't know if that is true or not. If it was then that shouldn't be an excuse on why he shouldn't be hired.
Going back to Johnson and Switzer. I would hire them now because we don't really have any rules on NIL or any body of government that can enforce any rules. So anything goes.
With an NCAA so weak of enforcing any rules. Arkansas shouldn't be afraid of any punishment or penalty because it is the wild west in college football. Everything is in chaos. No excuse on holding back now.
