I do agree that JD5 being absent doesn't affect LSU being able to win against FL, however JD5 is leagues better than Nuss. And that's not taking anything away from Nuss, but JD5 was a Heisman contender...

14pts though? Without worrying about Daniels running they are going to be able to either rush an extra man or drop him back into coverage. LSU defense is still awful.

I’m not comparing them, but Nuss would be just fine. We would to lean into our backs a lot more to run the ball, but Nuss can certainly hit Nabors and Thomas on the deep balls.
