No. Not at all. I think you are over analyzing the average mindset of athletes talented enough to play college football at the highest level.

There is always pressure. If they lose against UT then they will be under even more pressure to win the GT game and the SECCG should we beat Ole Miss. Losing is always worse than winning. Losing to UT in a final game with historic records on the line, because we half assed the effort, would be disastrous to this teams pyshe. The coaches would lose the team if that was even attempted. These players work their arse off to prove they are the best. To take that away and not let them earn it in a marquee game on prime time broadcast would be absurd.

I know you are throwing out a “what if” hypothesis but that would never jive with true competitors.
