Sorry guys,

Fulmer's gone. Tubbs is out. Croom got Croomed, and Richt is in hot water...

The SEC I know and love is gone, gone, gone. In its place - Nick Saban and Urban Meyer, quite possibly the biggest pricks on the planet.

I'm nostalgic for the days when character and integrity mattered more than wins and losses. That day has passed. Does anyone else miss it?

SEC Football is many things (most of them really great) but being personified by character and integrity has never been one of them.

touche...

Admittedly there were issues (violations) but I guess I'm opining for the ones who ran their respective programs above board and with the focus on developing their players for a shot at the big time, or for whatever else came their way in life.

If you want to be cynical you've got ammo, but I'm curious to see if you agree with the premise...

That hasn't happened since...well it never was like that. Not unless you're telling me you were a WWII vet who watched college football growing up.

The SEC likes to cheat. I'm more said we're losing the characters that have defined the SEC for a while. We lost the entertaining coach O last year. This year alone we lose Fulmer, Tubby, and Croom. This is the end of the Spurrier era coming to an end. Now it seems like Saban and Meyer are the two headed monster of SEC coaching right now and a boring pair of coaches. Just dominate though.

At least Les Miles can be entertaining from time to time. Five 4th down conversions...

We (as in Bama fans) tried to warn everyone that Bama+Saban = a duo that will be a conference AND coach killer.
