Hopefully. I got really sick of people dogging him all the time. Estrada isn't an explosive athlete by any stretch of the imagination, but he's quick and he's pretty relentless when it comes to getting the ball into the paint. Anyone who has paid attention the last 5 years knows that our offense needs to be able to consistently get the ball into the paint to be at its best. Limiting our paint touches means you limit our ability to score in all the ways we like the most, i.e. kick out 3s, dunks, layups, and FTs.

Oddly enough, the Bama Hoops community page on Twitter was the worst about it. People constantly questioned why he was starting, and called him out, of all players, as selfish and lazy. Pretty sure the dude led us in blue collar points this year (tough to do as a guard), and was far and away our best set-up man, so basically the opposite of lazy and selfish. A bad turnover every now and then turns you into "selfish" and "lazy", I guess...

Early in the year I told my brother I thought Estrada was my favorite on the team.

More than a few missed lay ups dropped him down a couple of notches but he’s still very under appreciated

The truth is that most people don’t know ball. Certainly not the modern game. You see this with football too where people just say shite they heard in a sports bar or while watching Hoosiers 30 years ago, but basketball it’s almost worse.

It’s always been that way but people being online gives a voice to the should be voiceless and you feel like you have to try to correct them but then it’s 4 hours later and you’re still arguing with a moron online instead of doing your laundry. And they ain’t got shite to do but argue. So they’ll always win
