the announcers mentioned it dude whole. The player away from the play put his arms and hands straight out which is another way of signaling for a fair catch on KO's. Even though the ball was coming to him it became a dead play. But the other guy caught it without signaling a fair catch and ran with it. You mislead the D when you signal a fair catch and you know the ball is not coming to you. Were you even watching or listening to CBS.

It was weak in my opinion but I don't pretend to know all the rules. I still don't understand the call where it was called delay of game because, I think it was Beasley, who clapped his hands. I've said it before I'll say it again, it's not the calls against you as much as it is the ones they don't ever see on Bama. 1 penalty against Bama the whole game. They get by with more holds than any team I've ever watched. However, we choked second half, got outcoached by Saban. There's no excuse for not scoring the whole second half, but don't ever say refs can't swing the momentum totally. I still feel like Vegas and betting are killing college sports.
