I think it would. It seems that Hugh is frustrated because Montgomery isn't tailoring the offense to the few strengths that we have such as faster temp and more RPO. Our offense was never going to be explosive this year but I think everyone expected more, especially from the run game. No, we don't have a lot of SEC talent but there are still less talented teams in the SEC that are scoring a lot more points than us.

Who?

I cant think of many teams less talented than us on the offensive side of the ball. We might be ranked 18th in the country in talent but a lot of that comes from the defensive side.

We're 3rd in the conference in rushing YPG in spite of having no passing threat... this is a passing game issue.

I can't think of one honestly... and... I couldn't help myself, just double checked.

Vandy has more ppg than us (we are last) so I will circle that one and say that I agree. As for the other lower half SEC offenses in ppg.

Alabama - would take QB or WR
Arkansas - would take QB and WR1
Florida - would take QB and WR1/WR2
USCe - would take QB, WR1, and TE

ON WHETHER HE WANTS TO RUN MORE TEMPO

"I wouldn't be sitting here today if it wasn't for tempo offense and RPO. It's a very uncomfortable feeling for me not to be in that world. We are very, very, very thin. You get in that kind of game with LSU and Ole Miss -- they want that kind of game. They thrive in that kind of game. It's not working right now. It's a struggle. If you say, 'Hey, let's just go fast with them.' Then you're asking defensive linemen to play 80 snaps a game. I'm not sure they're smart, either. We're still debating what's the right approach."

This is why we are not going fast.We not only don't have talent, we dont have backups for them.
