Georgia currently tied for last in the country with one forced fumble, and Georgia currently tied for second in the country in interceptions. Weird shite!

I don't think we have been used to this many injuries and new players at key positions, along with a new OC.

Honestly, I am now just waiting for our first loss because we can't go undefeated forever (regular season, secg or playoffs)

I feel like when we do lose next, I will be numb to it

I'm at the point where as long as we don't miss the SEC Championship Game (that would be completely awful) or don't look bad in the SEC Championship GAME (that would be a slight buzzkill) I'm good with whatever.

Anything in the playoffs onward is gravy after these back to backs.

I really want this offense to hit on all cylinders.

With enough time to develop, I think we will be there by November/December.

And we can win a natty off the back of an elite offense.

Defensively, I want growth.
We are bitching about run fits. We had a true freshman at ILB take his lumps on the road at Auburn.
Why? Because he is supposed to be the next Roquan.
And roquan wasn't even roquan as a freshman and most of his sophomore season.

I don't mind the defense taking lumps. But use the experience to get better.
We are going to need the defense to lead the team in 2024. And that doesn't happen over the summer. It starts now.

The lack of depth at RB really worries me the most. If Daijun goes down who is #1? Cash Jones?

CJ Allen.

He got a ton of snaps.
Not only that, he got a lot of reps with Mondon walked up on the line of scrimmage (only 1 ILB to fill all of the gaps. Only 1 ILB for the offensive line doubleteams to target).

If I remember correctly this summers info was that ILB would be our achilles this year and our current recruiting is very lite on ILB's coming in next year

That's news to me.

Pop and Smael (who was injured to start the year) are NFL talents.
The concern over the summer was if the DL would keep them clean so they can work or not.

The strength of our ILB is in the film room. Freeze negated all of that with new formations, new playcalls, and a new playcaller.

Raylen Wilson is supposedly our next ILB mega stud ala roquan and nakobe but he got hurt in fall camp I think. I've seen him in spot duty a few games but I have to think that set us back a bit

Everyone is really questioning this team after last week but those two (not three like I thought) but two turnovers in plus territory for auburn really fricked us.
They came away with half their points just on those. We were moving the ball pretty good otherwise. And our defense had some good stops and three and outs including a 4th and short that was stopped.
Auburn had 200 ish yards on the ground? 60 something of them came from that one run by their qb that we didn’t expect.
So pretty much everything went wrong in front of an extremely loud and hostile crowd they still pulled it. We also had zero false starts or procedure penalties caused by the crowd.

I think that is the news I had heard and would hurt our depth at ILB, which I believe is Kirby's most needed versatile position as far as LB's go

I appreciate the correction.

I don't follow the recruiting like I do the current roster.

I was very impressed with the composure and calmness after they went down 10-0, and how they kept plugging away even when things weren't immediately breaking the right way for the comeback.

I know it's been the standard MO since we lost to Alabama in 2021, but let's not forget the UGA teams before Kirby and even a few in his early years that folded in those kind of scenarios.

Games can quickly get away from you in environments like JH Stadium when you hand 10 points to a talented enough underdog. LSU 2018 comes to mind for a time it fell the opposite way.

That game still pisses me off bc the run game was working and we tried to get cute throwing the ball and lost.

Orgeron said after the game that they did some funky dl alignment to take away what we were doing and we never adjusted, which is jim chaney in a nutshell. Masterful game planner but never adjusted in-game for shite.

The offensive line was Pittman.
It isn't a surprise today how much better our OL got when Pittman left.

We would play manball with inside zone all game.
It wasn't until we added more gap scheme after Pittboss left when the OL started looking elite.

Just fwiw I wasn't trying to correct you at all, just passing along something I remember reading about in the preseason.
