What Chesh say's hits it perfectly as well. Also, we as fans do not have the patience to wait out another HDN after experiencing a BP.

We really shouldn't have to after seeing so many other programs make quick turnarounds, but half our fans don't have the lifespan to plan for another decade of mediocrity at best, national embarrassment and record-breaking failure at worst.

The shame is that we didn’t get to see how Petrino would have played out after that talented group left. That team was loaded for his offense and the chances of replicating that was slim to none.
Could he have kept up that pace of winning with less talent? Who knows, Louisville maybe.
