Probably. Explain to me why you think that?
As I understand this link you provided, you just didn’t read it.

I've had enough of hearing about Prime as much as I have about Taylor Swift.

And while NCAA athletes of Hunter’s caliber are often insured to hedge against a potentially life-altering moment like this one, Hunter wasn’t.
This insurance is not readily available to any athlete anymore. And premiums can run into tens of thousands of dollars (or more) annually. They are also only typically available as riders on disability policies.

Facebook has somehow managed to get worse now that 40% of "articles" are about taytay or PRIME!

Don’t understand how this is the head coaches fault.
It would still be up to the individual to insure himself.
If anyone is slacking it’s these scumbags who try to insure projected loss from unpredictable injuries in a high contact sport.

Those kids mentioned make enough in NIL money to cover the premium on the policies. One of em was bragging about his 300k car last week. They’re just getting poor advice. They’re also like the vast majority of other Americans, underinsured.

I think you might be surprised what the premiums would run.

Since when is a coach responsible for getting players insurance? Never heard of this.
If health insurance is part of the deal.,, AD and department should be handling that.

It really depends on the limits. It’s roughly $10,000 per million. The NCAA adds 3 million in coverage for the projected top 65 players in the country.

They are professional athletes. Do what every other grown up is supposed to do.

The school usually covers up to $90k. The NCAA kicks in at that point up to some limit, I believe (as long as the player is on scholarship).

because of this.

However, sources say, at Deion Sanders’ behest, Hunter and Sheduer Sanders have eschewed Brookbank’s services to instead work directly with one particular broker: Matthew Vuckovich of Paradigm Gilbert, a California-based insurance agency that is relatively unknown in the world of college sports. The firm is currently being sued by a former MLB pitcher over a $10 million policy that failed to pay out.
I wonder why Dion would tell his players not use firm that is vetted and experienced and go with this fly by night bunch?
