Why would ESPN pay more when they have the SEC over the barrel? Until ESPN's future ownership is more clear, one is only guessing when predicting future revenue.

Texas and Oklahoma alone should have given the league a bump but ESPN does not have the money.

ESPN has the money. They save 300 million a year after the Pac12 goes away. Also if the ACC dissolves, they save another 300 million a year. They are being smart, focus your money on 1 tier 1 product.
