Lane K. thinks Steele ain't calling the defense? This true?

Lane Kiffin said #OleMiss is preparing for an Alabama defense coordinated by Travaris Robinson and not Kevin Steele:
“We’ve been against Kevin a number of times. Worked with him at Alabama and against him at Auburn and LSU. There seems like there’s been a change there. I don’t know what happened after the Texas game, but our guys watching the TV copy and schematically in this last game, certainly seems like T-Rob’s now calling the defense. We played him before at South Carolina, so we’re preparing accordingly for him calling the defense. He’s done a good job, too, and they’ve got really good players.”

First I've heard of this. Doubt it's true. Why would Alabama keep it a secret if Robinson was calling the defense?

Causing some confusion with defensive players/staff who wonder if/why strategy has changed enough that it seems like someone else is calling the defense.

Steele is in the booth, he calls down the plays to Robinson who then calls the plays on the field to the players.

for argument purposes..
If Lane did discover this..
why would he mention it to anyone?
Wouldn’t you think that he would keep that secret? By exposing that secret, you would be telling the Bama staff to make a change.
Therefore..
1) it is true and Lane wants them to change the defense to something more friendly to design plays against
or 2) it is not true and Lane is yanking your chains

Maybe he knows or maybe he doesnt, but his misinformation or information will be a talking point for the rest of the week and will make the people that actually know answer stupid questions.
