First things first we are 3-0.

Next we have to get healthy quickly. Kaufman, Scott, Pritchett, McLeod, Hunter, Stutts, Var, Deal, Miller, Keys, and I think a couple others I can’t remember are banged up. That’s a bunch of quality players.

Next why are we baby soft on the OL and DL in short yardage situations. Gotta grow a set on the lines.

Outside WRs have got to start getting physical as well. Blocking and getting open and battling for the balls in the air.

Protect the fricking football. Period whoever is running it or throwing it. Or catching a punt. How many muffs do we have 3 or 4?

Impressed so far with our tackling since the first half of the first game.

We have a brutal 3 game stretch. Need 1-2 and I would consider that a success. 2-1 would be season changing. 3-0 and oh shite the sky is the limit. 0-3 would be disappointing but we will be the underdog in each. 1 at a time.

The SEC is wide open. We need to get in that 4 spot in the SEC asap. That puts you right on being borderline playoff team.

This is a rebuilding year whatever happens. We should be more talented moving forward but it will take 3 years to get a big talent upgrade and they will still be young in year 3. I’m here for the ride.

And lastly frick all y’all. Happy new year and let the real season begin.

And our QB needs a better hair cut! That alone could be worth 2 extra wins this season.

I agree with most of what you said.

OL and DL were always going to be a huge weakness for this team. Both have played better than expected but neither can compete against the top half of the SEC - unless they drastically change.

QB - I have been disappointed. The INTs that Thorne threw last night are evidence that he cannot see the entire field. He has started 100 football games in his career and still forced balls into bad spots. I don’t expect that to change but he is our best option.

WR’s have impressed me with lack of drops and their blocking. They are not getting open enough but that may be a talent/burst problem.

RB have been good except for the fumbles.

DB and kicking - very happy.

LB - I really like 2-3 of the guys and I cringe when a few others are in the game.

Coaching - better than expected. Many issues with play calling but I expected it early in the season.

Overall, I have an ulcer and we are 3-0. Feels like a typical Auburn football season.

Hope we can upset someone in the next 3 weeks.

I am a lot less worried about the Iron Bowl than I was at the beginning of the season. Ditto for Mississippi State.
